We are making February the official UL promotion month! There are several ways you, the listener, will be integral in making it a success:
First, the easiest and best way to help promote the Unemployment Line is tell your friends, family, and dental professionals! Nothing can beat a strong word-of-mouth buzz. Not much can beat an Old Style buzz, either!
Next, you can
vote for us at Podcast Alley. We have avoided pandering for votes for a long time, and we want to make February the one and only month to vote this year.
But Wait! When you vote for us in the month of February, be sure to
submit a comment with the title "Raffle". At the end of the month, we will take all the names, put them in a hat, and draw one for a
$20.00 (US) prize for you to use however you want. Cafepress gift certificate, iTunes certificate, cash through Paypal transfer, we care not!
This Just In:If you vote between February 1-7, we will put your name in twice, doubling your chances to win!
(actual chances are dependent on number of contestants.) Vote from as many computers as your IP can handle!
Third, we are asking our devoted listeners to be a part of the "UL Listener Promo Project" (or ULLPP). Anytime I hear a promo, it's always the hosts of the show talking about themselves. We want to hear what YOU like about us. Is it our frank discussion of Karaoke nights? Melvis? Meatballs? We want you to utilize the power of the spoken word.
If you have the capability to record a WAV or mp3, email it to us at unemploymentline{at}gmail{dot}com. If not, call our Phone Line at (206) 66-NO JOB. The comments should follow the following form:
- introduce yourself ("This is _____ and...")
- tell what you like about the show ("I enjoy the Unemployment Line podcast because...")
- close with the web address ("So, visit them at unemploymentshow.com and subscribe today!")
Please try to keep your comments brief, between 10 and 15 seconds. I will edit them together and make it all sound pretty. (If you've got a lot to say and would like to put together your own promo for us, e-mail me and I'll help you out.)
We hope you will have fun participating in these exciting ways. We feel very fortunate to have a loyal group of listeners that email us, donate, do research and development, and comment on the shows we produce. Keep the feedback coming and email us if you have any questions or suggestions for promotions!
